The attempt to reach
here. In the Old City there on the hill castle from ancient times,
and in many other places in the Libyan desert, and the people living
there so far. the ancient trading center of Ghat is one of the most
attractive of the Libyan oasis towns .A highlight is the well
preserved, enchanting mud-brick medina in the heart of town. it is
also one of the few permanent Tuareg settlements in the sahara.the
setting is superb. A backdrop of stunning sand dunes, the dark
ridges of the Jebel Acacus to the east and the distant peaks of the
Tassili-n-Ajjer (in Algeria) to the west.Unlike many of the old
Fezzan centres of trade whose time seems to have passed, Ghat is A
living town with a bustling energy that's hard to resist. |

But with the locals out, and their dwindling knowledge on structuring of houses with natural air conditioning, an important science could be lost. In earlier days, the life line of Ghadames was trade through the Sahara, |
